HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONIC! I built a giant Sonic-shoe out of bottle caps, and decided, “Hey, this could be slightly more entertaining! Let’s wrap it in a bizarre, absurd story!” Then I stood on a sidewalk in Ottawa — one of Canada’s biggest cities — screaming “WHAT IS THIS!?” A few people actually answered correctly, so I feel my insanity is validated. Before filming even started, someone leaned out their car window and asked “Is that Sonic’s shoe?” When I nodded, they gave me a huge thumbs-up. When people asked me why I would do such a thing, I shrugged my shoulders and said, “Uh, it’s Sonic’s birthday present.” The shoe features 165 white caps, 33 silver caps, 30 gold caps and 260 red caps, totalling 488 caps. It took three days of solid sorting, counting, arranging, and gluing to complete this bad-boy. This video is for the Sonic 4 contest at www.sonicthehedgehog4.com Everyone who appears in the video consented to do so. I tried to avoid focusing on copyrighted stuff, so you shouldn’t see any brand names. Keepin’ it nice and legal. I drank all of the “SoniCola” drinks in a row, to celebrate completion of this project. Urrrrgh…
